Teaser: The famous Black Cat/Felicia Hardy finds herself in a bind figuratively and literally when she is coerced by King Pin into robbing a little crystal store on his behalf. The store owner who was bullied by Felicia wants retribution against her through a literal binding. (read time 91 minutes)

Prologue:

In central Manhattan, Felicia sits in her luxury apartment in a way that blends civilian life and the life of the heisting. She is content with the antique and glittery sofa she sits on as she admires herself in the ornate mirror leaning against the wall-a mirror that has yet to be fixed upright because it is yet another trophy of her thieving career. Her success feels almost too easy as she remembers playing with security guards through re-direction and by making them catch expensive vases so that she can deliver a knockout blow and retrieve her prize.

Despite her successes, she still desires one thing she can’t steal as easily-the heart of Spiderman. No actual diamond is more precious to her than him. As she is lost in contemplation and in fantasizing about Spiderman crawling to her in flirtatious ecstasy, she receives an unusual phone call on her landline of all things. Who could it be? Room service? Fire department? No, it is King Pin! A man whose shadow covers the skyline with a criminal network that extends into many functions of the city beyond Felicia’s individualized approach through stealth and combat. He informs her, in a taunting tone, that Spiderman, her crown jewel, is being held hostage at the top of her apartment. In a aggressive transition from her seductive self to her predatory self, she slams the phone down and shows her claws to the mirror she admired herself in. She is a picture of frustration and shock as she finds herself in a bind between fighting for Spiderman or her own pride.

This dilemma also sets in motion a series of questions. Has King Pin and his henchmen done this by himself? How could he get away with this unnoticed? Is this a trap? Or are there greater or, perhaps, more supernatural forces at work? Felicia must choose between conceding servitude to King Pin to save Spiderman, decide to fight King Pin where he stands, or be indifferent and risk having her location exposed by King Pin. It seems as though she is in a no-win situation, or is she? She claws at the mirror she admired herself in a makes her way to the roof keeping mind the saying that she must battle like a lion but be cunning like a cat.
